I am pretty tolerant of people testing their professional boundaries. But -- at heart -- I'm also a country girl, so I take a bit of offense to
Gwyneth Paltrow uttering the words "I'm country strong, hard to break..." and acting all earthy and well, country.
I know it's just acting, but
country music fans -- and make fun of us if you want -- like our singers somewhat authentic. When Faith Hill or Reba or Dolly croon a country ballad, we believe that each woman possibly came down a long, dirt road to reach success. I'm sorry, but the closest Gwynnie has ever gotten to the country is maybe stopping by a Neiman Marcus in the suburbs She's from New York, people! And she lives in London. London! Not only does she not live in Nashville, home to country sweethearts like Taylor Swift, she doesn't even live in the country where she sings about being country strong.

Is there anything cozier than a sweater coat on a cold day? The thing I love most about a sweater coat -- say, versus a leather jacket -- is that the sweater coat seems to just somehow be more comforting (especially indoors if you're in a chilly office.)
If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: there is such a thing as too much fashion. Take for example, this recent photo of Phoebe Price (who, apparently is some kind of actress although I don't have a clue what she's done.) She's put together a mish-mash of current trends, from over-the-knee boots to floppy hat.
